The Show Low Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to advocating on behalf of our members at the local, state and federal levels of government. 

The SLACC is a nonpartisan organization and is solely focused on advocating for policies or issues that promote the free market economy and empower entrepreneurs and business owners to drive economic activity and create jobs. We are also interested in community issues that directly promote or inhibit economic opportunity as detailed below.

MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL

The City of Show Low has a council-manager form of government. The City Council acts as the policy-setting board of the city, establishing city policies and programs and appropriating funds for each city department. The City Manager is the chief administrative officer of the city, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the city.

Show Low is a city located in Navajo County, Arizona. The city is served by the Show Low Unified School District, which 

operates several schools serving students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.

The Show Low Unified School District operates the following schools:

  1. Nikolaus Homestead Elementary School - serves students from pre-kindergarten through 2nd grade.
  2. Whipple Ranch Elementary School - serves students from 3rd grade through 5th grade.
  3. Show Low Junior High School - serves students from 6th grade through 8th grade.
  4. Show Low High School - serves students from 9th grade through 12th grade.

In addition to the public schools, there are also several private schools in Show Low, including:

  1. St. Anthony Catholic School - serves students from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade.
  2. Northland Pioneer College - offers higher education courses and degrees for students of all ages.

The Show Low Unified School District is committed to providing high-quality education to all students, and offers a variety of programs and services to support student learning, including special education, gifted and talented education, English language learner programs, and more. The district also offers a variety of extracurricular activities and sports teams, including basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, and more. We should invest in our students and teachers. Decisions regarding education should be made at the local level. The Chamber will continue to partner with the Show Low County School District, private and charter schools, and support higher education institutions like Nikolaus Homestead Elementary and Northland Pioneer College.
